February 27th is National Pancake Day at IHOP, and they’re continuing a favorite tradition: free pancakes!
The promotion runs from 7am to 7pm around the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, Guam, and Mexico. Each customer may order a stack of three buttermilk pancakes (normally $3.99), entirely for free. One per customer and dine-in only.
Although they aren’t required to pay, IHOP is encouraging customers to make a donation to one or more of their charity partners: Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and Shriners Hospitals for Children. Since 2006, IHOP customers have raised over $30 million on National Pancake Day, and IHOP’s goal for this year is $6 million.
For anyone interested, the IHOP nearest to UCAS is at 850 W 1250 S, Orem, UT 84058, on the south side of UVU campus and just across University Parkway. Don’t be surprised if they’re completely swamped with hungry college students, both from UVU and nearby BYU!
IHOP President Darren Rebelez stated, “For 60 years, IHOP and our franchisees have made it our mission to support the communities we serve. IHOP National Pancake Day is our declaration to pancake lovers everywhere that we are committed to giving back in meaningful ways. At IHOP, we think doing good is delicious. Every stack of pancakes we serve on our signature day counts toward helping our charity partners improve the health and lives of millions of children and families across the country.”
So celebrate your ACT success (or drown your failure in buttermilky goodness) at IHOP today! Just remember to leave a donation, hopefully $5 or more, to support the above charities. Don’t be a cheapskate.
